PART 1: MEMBERS AND PARTICIPANTS CODE OF CONDUCT AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. The code of conduct identifies the standard of behavior that is expected of all members and participants with the Riversdale Athletics Club. Participants include athletes, coaches and representatives designated as chaperones. Those who fail to abide by the guidelines outlined within this Code of Conduct may lose privileges that come with being a member of the Riversdale Athletics Club. This may include, but is not limited to the opportunity to participate in future Riversdale Athletics Club activities (seminars, training clinics, competitions). The responsibilities of all team members are as follows: - All individuals will demonstrate appropriate good will to all team members. Individuals will refrain from comments or behavior that is disrespectful, offensive, abusive, racist or sexist. - Team members must comply with decisions made by the coach, chaperone or an individual officially designated by the Riversdale Athletics to assist or aid the athletes. - Team members are expected to conduct themselves at all times in a responsible and sportsmanlike manner and abide by the sport governing bodies' policies. All drugs are expressly prohibited. Athletes under 19 years of age will refrain from the use alcohol. Use of alcoholic beverages by athletes of legal age is prohibited at any time where the athlete is associated with the Riversdale Athletics’ club. - All complaints of misconduct will be referred to the President of the Board of Directors and be dealt with according to the Riversdale Athletics Dispute Resolution Policy. PART 2: PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT - I understand that my role as a parent is to support all athletes, managers, coaches and officials. I will engage in positive encouragement of all athletes, at all times. I will refrain from making negative or critical remarks to or about any athlete, manager, coach or official. - I will show respect to and be courteous to all game officials, athletes, coaches and other spectators, including parents of other athletes. I understand that if I fail to comply with this Code of Conduct I agree to sanctions imposed by Riversdale Athletics, including possibly being prohibited from attending practices or events. By signing this document, I acknowledge that I have read this Code of Conduct and I agree to comply with this Code of Conduct.
