Good Neighbour and Community Stewardship

More Than a Sport

Pickleball is more than a sport. It’s one of the ways community is built.

Through recreation, people connect, stay active, build friendships, support one another, volunteer, and participate in community life. At BVPA, we believe these outcomes are every bit as important as the game itself.

Every day, people of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels come together through pickleball to support healthy living, social connection, inclusion, and community well-being.

With that opportunity comes responsibility.

BVPA is committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment both on and off the court. We believe participation and stewardship go hand in hand, and we encourage all members to be positive ambassadors for the sport and the broader community.

We ask our members to:

• treat fellow players and other users of public spaces with courtesy and respect;

• be mindful of how their actions affect neighbours and the broader community;

• respect shared facilities, schedules, and public spaces;

• help create a welcoming environment for players of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels; and

• contribute positively to the culture, reputation, and future of the sport.

We recognize that recreation facilities are shared community assets. As such, BVPA is committed to promoting responsible use, volunteer leadership, continuous improvement, and constructive relationships with residents, community organizations, and the Town.

We are proud of the culture our members continue to build – one grounded in respect, inclusion, sportsmanship, stewardship, and community-mindedness.

As interest in pickleball continues to grow, BVPA remains committed to ensuring that growth contributes positively to the health, vibrancy, and connectedness of the Bow Valley community.

Les sponsors

As an Alberta-born institution, ATB celebrates and invests in organizations, festivals and events that make Alberta an amazing place to live. Their sponsorships are so much more than just putting their logo on our website or raising our banner at our events. They’re about bringing ATB’s brand closer to Albertans by uniting them in their communities around the passions they love and strengthening their relationship with them. Pickleball is one such passion and they're proud to be associated with the Bow Valley Pickleball Association.
