2025 Royal City Inferno

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING

In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Track and Field Meet hosted by the Royal City Athletics Club ("RCAC") between June 17 and June 21, 2025, in Guelph, Ontario, I, the undersigned participant (or parent/guardian if participant is under 18), hereby acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Assumption of Risk

I acknowledge that participation in track and field events involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness (including communicable diseases), equipment failure, falls, contact with other participants, and the effects of weather, including heat and humidity.

I voluntarily assume all such risks, known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the RCAC, event organizers, volunteers, officials, or other participants.

2. Release and Waiver of Liability

I hereby waive, release, and discharge the Royal City Athletics Club, its directors, officers, members, coaches, volunteers, event staff, sponsors, and affiliated organizations from any and all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages arising out of my participation in this event.

3. Medical Treatment

I consent to receive emergency medical treatment deemed necessary if I am injured or become ill during the event. I understand that I am solely responsible for all medical expenses incurred.

4. Photo and Media Release

I grant permission for the Royal City Athletics Club to use any photographs, videos, or other media of me taken during the event for promotional, educational, or informational purposes without compensation or further consent.

5. Compliance with Rules

I agree to comply with all event rules, regulations, and instructions provided by event organizers and officials. Failure to do so may result in removal from the event without refund.

By signing below, I confirm that I have read and understood this waiver and agree to its terms. If signing on behalf of a minor, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian and have the authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of the minor participant.
