This Athletics in-person workshop is designed for teachers and coaches working with athletes U14 and U16 who compete in ALL event groups. The focus of Sport Coach is on Learning to Train and it falls into the NCCP Instruction Pathway.
In addition to learning the technical elements of running, jumping and throwing, coaches will also discover the do's and don'ts of age-appropriate strength training and how to put together a weekly training program.
LOCATION, DATE & TIME: it will be held in Red Deer, Alberta from 10:00a - 5:00p on Saturday November 23rd and from 9:00a - 3:00p on Sunday November 24th.
Prior to attending this Athletics Sport Coach Workshop, coaches must take the online module called "Foundations of Coaching" (FOC). It is available on October 3rd, 4th, 10th & 11th from 7:30 - 9:30pm.
