This Athletics in-person workshop is designed for coaches working with athletes U16 and above who compete in a specifically in Sprints & Hurdles. The focus of Club Coach is on Training to Train and it falls into the NCCP Competition Pathway.
In addition to learning advanced technical progressions for all of the Sprinting and Hurdling events, coaches will also learn:
1. Strength Training,
2. Program Planning & Design, and
3. How to Manage a Sports Program.
LOCATION, DATE & TIME: it will be held in Red Deer, Alberta from 10:00a - 6:15p on Saturday November 23rd and from 9:00a - 6:15p on Sunday November 24th.
Prior to attending this Athletics Club Coach Workshop, coaches must take the online module called "Foundations of Coaching" (FOC). It is available on October 3rd, 4th, 10th & 11th from 7:30 - 9:30pm.
