Tournament Site: Kizuna Judo Club

Time: Sunday, December 15 at 8:00 am

Purpose: To provide a competitive experience in a collaborative environment to
aid in the development of local young competitors.

Entry Fee: $30.00 (regular deadline), $35.00 (late deadline)

Weigh-in: Honour System.
There will be a scale for spot checks should concerns arise. We ask that Club
Instructors verify the athlete’s weights. Discrepancies between reported and actual weights may result in disqualification without a refund.

Capping: 120 participants (30 per age division).

Eligibility: All competitors must be in good standing with Judo BC before the
tournament deadline of December 11, 2024, at 11:59 pm.
• Minimum Rank for tachiwaza will be White/Yellow Belt for U8-U14.
• White Belt will be newaza only.
• Maximum Rank will be Orange-Green Belt (Green not accepted).

Categories for:
• U8 (2018 & 2019)
• U10 (2016 & 2017)
• U12 (2014 & 2015)
• U14 (2012 & 2013)
Male and Female categories separate where possible.
U8, U10, U12 may be mixed gender.
Competitors will be placed in groups of up to 5, by age, weight, and belt level, as entries permit.

Elimination: Round robin.

Contest Rules, Match Times, and Divisions: As per Judo Canada tournament sanctioning policy. Matches will be officiated and scores called but not recorded.
Every participant will receive a prize.

Entries must be received by 11:59 pm on Wednesday, December 11th, so we can make the divisions and distribute them to the coaches for approval before the event.

• 8:00-8:15 am: Warm-up Kata.
• 8:15-9:00 am: Kata Competition.
• 9:00-9:15 am: Check-in U8.
• 9:15 am: Warm-up U8.
• 9:30-10:15 am: Competition & Awards for U8.
• 10:15-10:30 am: Check-in U10.
• 10:30 am: Warm-up U10.
• 10:45-12:00 pm: Competition & Awards for U10.
• 12:15-12:30 pm: Check-in U12.
• 12:30 pm: Warm-up U12.
• 12:45-2:00 pm: Competition & Awards for U12.
• 2:15-2:30 pm: Check-in U14.
• 2:30 pm: Warm-up U14.
• 2:45-3:30 pm: Competition & Awards for U14.

Volunteering: U14+ can learn timekeeping! U16+ can learn to referee!
