This in-person workshop is modules #6-8 of the Athletics Club Coach Course for Throws. It is designed for coaches who work with athletes over the age of 15 in the throwing events. It falls into the NCCP Competition Pathway.
In addition to learning advanced technical progressions for all of the throwing events, coaches will also learn age-appropriate strength training and how to put together a seasonal training plan specific to the throws.
LOCATION, DATE & TIME: at the University of Lethbridge in Lethbridge, Alberta on Saturday December 9th from 9:30a-6:00p and on Sunday December 10th from 9:00a-6:30p on Sunday.
For modules #1-4 of the Athletics Club Coach Course for Throws, coaches should take the "Foundations of Coaching" prior to attending this workshop. FOC is an online line course and it is being offered in November on the 7, 9, 13, & 14th from 7:30-9:30pm.
Module #5 is called "Introduction to Long-Term Development in Athletics". It is an eLearning module located in the Locker under Athletics. It too should be taken as a prerequisite prior to attending the Club Coach Throws Workshop.
