This Athletics in-person workshop is designed for coaches working with athletes U16 and above who compete specifically in Endurance events (800m and up). The focus of Club Coach is on Training to Train and it falls into the NCCP Competition Pathway.
In addition to learning advanced details of the Endurance events, coaches will also learn:
1. Strength Training,
2. Program Planning & Design, and
3. How to Manage a Sports Program.
LOCATION, DATE & TIME: it will be held in Red Deer, Alberta from 10:00a - 6:00p on Saturday November 23rd and from 9:00a - 4:30p on Sunday November 24th.
Prior to attending this Athletics Club Coach Workshop, coaches must take the online module called "Foundations of Coaching" (FOC). It is available on October 3rd, 4th, 10th & 11th from 7:30 - 9:30pm.
